Sheheryar Munawar unpacks Abu Bakar's flaws
The Dar-e-Nijaat star says his character is a people-pleaser with a saviour complex.

Sheheryar Munawar has opened up about the man he plays in Dar-e-Nijaat. Speaking to Haroon Rashid on BBC Asian Network, he described Abu Bakar as a "people-pleaser" with a "saviour complex", and linked the second trait to the way the character's mother raised him. He admitted he struggles to say no in real life too.
Munawar also said Abu Bakar has had feelings for Zaryab since early in the story, and that he slipped small clues into his performance, such as remembering her food preferences. "I've thrown these hints everywhere," he said.
