Faysal Quraishi warns against paid negative reviews
The Mango Jutt star says coordinated bad reviews hurt the whole film industry, not just one movie.
Faysal Quraishi has spoken out against what he calls paid propaganda aimed at films. In an Instagram video, he said some reviews appear before people could have seen a film, often in identical wording, and that this damages Pakistan's small industry as a whole.
His remarks follow claims of a paid negative campaign against his Punjabi comedy Mango Jutt. "Whether the film is good or bad is a separate discussion," he said, adding that only audiences should decide what is a hit or a flop.
