Seemab Gul's Ghost School has won an important round in court. A Sindh High Court bench ordered the Sindh Board of Film Censors to reconsider the film's certification within 10 days, and set aside the board's earlier demand for cuts.

The bench said the cuts could not stand without stated reasons, except for one covering a child's abusive remark. The board can now issue an unrestricted certificate or must hear the filmmakers before keeping any cut. The film follows a 10-year-old girl whose village school closes amid rumours it is haunted.
