Varun chooses Sidharth for a hypothetical remake
Asked to cast an Indian Heated Rivalry on Koffee With Karan 9, Varun Dhawan named Student of the Year co-star Sidharth.
Varun Dhawan had a quick answer when Karan Johar asked which male co-star he would pick for an Indian remake of Heated Rivalry, the Canadian sports romance series: Sidharth Malhotra. According to Pinkvilla, Varun pointed back to their 2012 debut, Student of the Year.
He joked that many fans felt "me and Sid should end up together more than Alia". Karan, who directed the film, was enthusiastic about the idea. It was a playful rapid-fire moment, and no such remake has been announced. Varun appeared on the episode with Janhvi Kapoor.
