Akshay Oberoi embraces darker characters
The actor explains why morally grey roles keep drawing him in, from Gurgaon and Toxic to Gajab Raat.

Akshay Oberoi says he is fascinated by morally complicated characters because they "rarely see themselves as the villain of their own story", according to Bollywood Hungama. He said such roles let him explore contradictions and unexpected traits that a conventional hero often does not allow.
"Everyone has their own reasons for doing what they do," he added. Oberoi has built a reputation for complex parts in Gurgaon, Flesh and Toxic, and his current project is Gajab Raat. He is also set to appear in Shah Rukh Khan's King.
