Ponman director Jothish Shankar is reuniting with writer G R Indugopan for a new Malayalam film, according to Kerala TV. Indugopan is writing the screenplay, and the project is being produced by Sathyam Cinemas.
The makers have issued a casting call for newcomers, seeking boys aged four to seven as well as men and women aged 20 to 65, the report says. Applications close on 5 November 2026. The title and lead cast have not been announced. Ponman, a black comedy thriller starring Basil Joseph, was released in January 2025.
