Sundar C discusses CGI disappointment
The Mookuthi Amman 2 director responds to online claims that the film's visual effects were AI-generated.
Sundar C has responded to online criticism of the visual effects in Mookuthi Amman 2. Speaking at the film's pre-release event, the director said he was disappointed by trailer comments from people who had judged the work without knowing the facts, according to Cinema Express.
He said nearly 400 Tamil technicians spent close to a year and a half on the CGI, and that AI was used in perhaps 15 of nearly 3,000 graphics shots. He invited audiences to praise the effects if they work and correct the team if they do not. The Nayanthara-led devotional sequel is due in Indian cinemas on 6 November.
