Srinidhi clears up the Sita casting story
Srinidhi Shetty says she auditioned for Sita in Ramayana and was not chosen, rather than turning the role down.
Srinidhi Shetty has corrected the suggestion that she rejected the role of Sita in Ramayana. Her account is simpler: she was one of three people shortlisted, auditioned and completed a screen test, after which the makers eventually considered other options.
"Being auditioned for such a role was a big blessing in itself," she told Cinema Express. That distinction matters. Being considered for a coveted role and refusing it are very different stories. The actor's latest release is Trivikram Srinivas's Adarsha Kutumbam: House No. 47 opposite Venkatesh.
