Saiju Kurup's Harivarasanam receives a date

The Sabarimala-set drama arrives in Indian cinemas on 15 January 2027 for Makara Vilakku.

Saiju Kurup's Harivarasanam will release in theatres on 15 January 2027, coinciding with Makara Vilakku, Cinema Express reports. The date was announced alongside the first look, which shows Saiju and a young girl carrying irumudikettu bundles among Ayyappa devotees on the Sabarimala pilgrimage.

Directed by Rajesh Nair and scripted by Dr K Ambadi, the film is billed as an emotional journey of faith that explores belief and rational thinking. Yogi Babu, Baby Eva and Sampath Raj also star. Ajith Vinayaka Films and Panorama Studios are producing. Australian release plans have not been announced.
