Sai Pallavi puts on the uniform
Sai Pallavi plays Additional SP Nithya Reddy, an officer chasing red sanders smugglers, in Dhanush and Mammootty's Om.
Sai Pallavi's character reveal for Om introduces Additional Superintendent of Police Nithya Reddy. The daughter of a martyred forest officer, Nithya rose through the Andhra Pradesh police to a CBI posting working with Interpol, and is now investigating red sanders smuggling in an operation named Om.
The film reunites her with Amaran director Rajkumar Periasamy, making this more than another casting announcement. After their previous collaboration, the interesting question is how much dramatic space this police officer gets in the star-heavy story. Om is due in Indian cinemas on 20 November.
