Sai Durgha Tej backs a first-time feature director
SDT19 marks the feature directing debut of actor Teja Kakumanu, with Anil Sunkara producing.
Sai Durgha Tej's SDT19 has been announced on his birthday, with Teja Kakumanu directing and Anil Sunkara producing under AK Entertainments. Kakumanu, known for acting roles in films including the Baahubali franchise and for directing the third season of the web series Save the Tigers, makes his feature debut.
The makers are keeping the story largely private, saying only that it presents the actor in a completely new avatar, with regular shooting scheduled to begin in October. The collaboration signals Tej's willingness to build a new project around a fresh directorial voice.
