Ravi Basrur has praised sound engineer Nandhu J, tracing their association back to Prashanth Neel's Ugramm. "He has been a dependable part of our sound unit from the start," the composer said, adding that Nandhu "knows when to raise the volume and when to keep things quiet."

Nandhu, who has worked on more than 450 films including KGF: Chapter 2 and Salaar: Part 1, is now mixing Salman Khan's Maatrubhumi. Ravi's appreciation brings attention to a craft often buried beneath discussions of stars and songs. For films built around powerful theatrical sound, the work behind the mixing desk can be central to the audience's experience.
