Prem plays Nadaprabhu Kempegowda, the founder of Bengaluru, in Kempambudhi, now in its final stretch of filming. A new poster released for Dasara frames him like a monolithic stone sculpture.
Written and directed by Malnad theatre artist Ramesh Begar and presented by Hombale Films, the film adapts a novel by journalist and writer Jaanagere Venkataramaiah. It explores Kempegowda's town planning, environmental thinking and public welfare measures alongside historical folklore. Meghana Gaonkar stars opposite Prem, with Samyukta Hornad in a key role.
