Prabhas's Spirit moves towards a festive showdown
Sandeep Reddy Vanga has moved the Prabhas and Triptii Dimri film from March to a Diwali 2027 release in India.
Spirit is now set for 29 October 2027, moving away from its earlier March 2027 date. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga announced the new worldwide release date on X, timed for Diwali. The film stars Prabhas and Triptii Dimri, with Vivek Oberoi among the cast.
The revised timing places it near Ranbir Kapoor's Ramayana Part Two, which had been expected about a week later, although a Sacnilk report citing Bollywood Hungama says that film may now move to 2028. If both schedules hold, the festival box office could become particularly crowded. Australian release plans have not been announced.
