Pooja Janardhan prioritises Kannada cinema
The model turned actor makes her debut in the investigative thriller Guddada Bootha.
Engineer turned model Pooja Janardhan has chosen to make her acting debut in Kannada, despite calls from the Telugu and Tamil industries, she told Cinema Express. "My first priority is Kannada cinema," she said.
After returning to Bengaluru two years ago, Pooja heard more than 20 scripts before choosing Guddada Bootha, an investigative thriller directed by Bharath S Navunda and produced by NMK Cinemas. She stars alongside Samarjit, and said the film has no conventional hero and heroine dynamic. Pooja said she would rather make one or two strong films than chase numbers.
