Naslen's Tamil debut in Scene comes with a sharp change of image: he plays Eswaran, a serial killer with a penchant for showcasing his crimes through social media. In the character video, Suriya's DSP Inbaraj describes him as a "faceless, emotionless, inhuman predator".
For an actor best known as the likeable lead of Premalu, that casting choice alone gives the familiar thriller setup an interesting sting. Jithu Madhavan writes and directs, with Nazriya Nazim, Anandraj and Lal also in the cast. Scene is due in Indian cinemas on 6 November.
