Jogi Prem receives an unusual thank-you
The director sang a devotional song for Devi and was gifted two calves by its lead.
Director Jogi Prem has lent his voice to a devotional song for the upcoming Kannada film Devi, and was given two calves in return, Cinema Express reports. The gift came from Chetan Kumar, a young farmer from Mandya who is producing the film, writing it and playing the lead.
Chetan approached Prem to sing, and the director agreed as a gesture of support for local talent, according to the report. The song was recorded with music director Sridhar V Sambhram. Devi, which also stars Bhavya Gowda, is directed by Prakash under CR Productions and is currently shooting.
