Dhanush makes room for Rajinikanth
Dhanush's Om, co-starring Mammootty, now opens in Indian cinemas on 20 November after moving off its October date to avoid Jailer 2.
Dhanush's Om has settled on 20 November after stepping away from its earlier 16 October release. The actor said the move was made to avoid a clash with Rajinikanth's Jailer 2, and he also ruled out a Diwali slot, with Suriya's Scene arriving close to the festival.
With Mammootty, Sai Pallavi and Sreeleela also aboard, this delayed arrival still carries considerable star power. Naseeruddin Shah makes his Tamil debut in the film, written and directed by Amaran filmmaker Rajkumar Periasamy, with music by Sai Abhyankkar. The dates are for India; Australian sessions have not been announced.
