Beej reopens a family wound
Manshendra Singh Kailey's 59-minute Punjabi drama Beej follows a nephew returning after a land dispute.
Beej follows a nephew returning to his uncle after a generation of silence caused by a bitter land dispute. The 59-minute Punjabi drama, directed by Manshendra Singh Kailey, appears in the current streaming catalogue, with Balwinder Dhaliwal, Gurjot Mann and Rajdeep Singh in the cast. The return brings back memories of the days before the dispute turned family members against each other.
Its premise is intimate: the property argument may be old, but the emotional damage has not conveniently expired.
