Prime Video's God of War casts Dave Bautista as Kratos, following the warrior and his son Atreus on a journey to scatter the ashes of Faye, Kratos's wife and Atreus's mother. Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television have ordered two seasons. Production is underway, with no premiere date announced.
The emotional hook is particularly good: Kratos tries to teach his son to be a better god, while the boy tries to show Dad how to be a better human.
