Indian Idol Legends Return brings 24 former contestants together in 12 pairs, including Abhijeet Sawant, Amit Sana, Salman Ali and Sayli Kamble. The season launched on 17 October in India on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV, placing recognisable singers back inside a competitive format.
Nostalgia supplies the initial attraction, but the pairing system adds a fresh question: how well can established individual performers work as a team? Contestants will also be assessed by their fellow competitors.
