Avika Gor returns with a crown
Avika Gor is back on Star Plus as the Queen of the Apsaras, and says the small details helped her find the role.
Avika Gor's television comeback comes with royal responsibilities. Playing Queen Meenakshi, ruler of the Apsaras in Star Plus's Apsara, she says preparation involved understanding the character's authority and the way she carries herself in an extraordinary world. Even small details mattered, from the royal costumes and jewellery to the make-up, and helped her understand the character's world.
Avika says story and character matter most when she picks a project, and this role gives her room for romance, action, emotional scenes and dance. After years of viewers remembering her as Anandi in Balika Vadhu, this is quite the change of wardrobe and world.
