Anita Kanwal rejects financial-crisis claims
The veteran actor says her old podcast comments were misread and that she is not seeking money from anyone.

Veteran actor Anita Kanwal has rejected reports that she is in financial trouble and seeking help, according to the Free Press Journal. The reports stemmed from an interview with journalist Vickey Lalwani recorded about six months earlier, in which she said she could manage for a year to a year and a half without income.
Kanwal, 72, said the coverage left her upset and unable to sleep. She said her circumstances have since changed: she has taken on a film project, received collaboration offers on Instagram and created her own reel drama series. She added that she does not want financial help from her children or anyone else.
