Aasif Khan's wife, Zeba, said he suffered a massive heart attack last year at the age of 34 and spent 21 days in hospital. She said he initially described his condition as GERD because he feared a serious health condition could cost him projects. "Yes, Aasif had a heart attack," she said.
She spoke after his health became a subject of debate around Bigg Boss 20. Her statement also condemned abuse and threats directed at their family. "Criticism is not cruelty," she said.
