Steam achievement hunters get a useful experiment
Valve's Achievement Sets beta lets developers group achievements, with DLC tracked separately from the base game.

Valve's new Steam Achievement Sets beta lets developers organise a game's achievements into collections, such as single-player and multiplayer sets, according to Gaming.net. DLC sets hold achievements that require purchased content, and these do not count towards overall progress until a player owns that content.
Each set has its own progress bar, and completing one earns a set complete trophy that stays on a player's profile even if more achievements are added later. The feature is currently part of the Steam Client Beta. For completionists, that could make the finished-game feeling far less elusive.
