Resident Evil Requiem's milestone comes with an important date
Capcom says Resident Evil Requiem hit eight million sales faster than any previous series title, as of 30 June.
Capcom reported that Resident Evil Requiem reached eight million units faster than any previous title in the series, using figures measured at 30 June 2026. Its September announcement repeated that achievement while noting the game had won an Award for Excellence at the Japan Game Awards 2026.
The dated figure should not be mistaken for today's total, but it remains a striking measure of the game's early momentum and the series' continuing popularity.
