NSW puts fresh funding behind local developers

Screen NSW has announced A$448,535 in support for 24 games across three programs. Fourteen games received Digital Games Seed Development grants of up to A$30,000 each in the 2026 round, while other funding helped developers showcase at PAX Aus and travel to Gamescom.

These investments rarely produce the immediate spectacle of a blockbuster trailer, but they can help promising local ideas survive the expensive journey towards becoming playable games. The 2026 seed round was the latest under the program.
