A free next-gen update for Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux is out now on Xbox Series X|S, according to Xbox Wire. It brings more detailed textures, refined lighting and shadows, improved animation, and performance modes offering true 4K at 60fps or upscaled 4K at 120fps.
Impulse Trigger support adds controller feedback, and the update also supports Xbox Ally handhelds and Xbox Play Anywhere. The aim is to modernise the presentation while preserving the originals' atmosphere, so those familiar tunnels look sharper without becoming any more welcoming.
