Fortnite returns to Australia's App Store
Epic says Fortnite is back on Apple's Australian App Store after a Federal Court ruling, while Apple plans to appeal.
Epic Games says Fortnite is returning to Apple's App Store in Australia after the Federal Court found Apple had breached competition law and ordered it to open up iOS, according to Reuters reporting published by Investing.com. Epic chief executive Tim Sweeney hailed the remedies as a major win for consumers and developers.
Apple says it disagrees with many of the court's findings and plans to seek a stay and appeal. For players, the immediate attraction is access on iPhone. For the industry, the long-running dispute continues to test who controls app distribution on mobile devices.
