Battlefront 3 talk suddenly has more substance
EA is pairing Respawn and DICE on an unnamed project that Variety's sources say is Star Wars: Battlefront 3.
EA has confirmed it is bringing together its Respawn and DICE studios to collaborate on a future project, according to an internal memo reported by Variety. The memo does not name the game, but Variety says multiple sources identified it as Star Wars: Battlefront 3 for Lucasfilm.
That distinction matters: EA has not confirmed the title, and the sources are unnamed. Still, it gives fans something more substantial than another hopeful social media thread. The news arrived alongside wider restructuring at EA, including the closure of BioWare's Edmonton studio.
